Your hearing aid will have a manufacturer’s warranty for repairs for a period of time. It is not uncommon for your hearing aid to need repair over time. There are many small parts in the hearing aids and they are susceptible to normal wear and tear. Additional factors can contribute to your hearing aid needing more frequent maintenance, such as heavy perspiration, dropping the hearing aid, excessive ear wax. Some minor hearing aid repairs can be performed in the office. However, at times, it is necessary to send the hearing aid back to the original manufacturer to achieve maximum results.
Routine Visits
You and your hearing care professional will also establish routine office visits for your hearing aids to be cleaned and checked. These maintenance checks on your hearing aids are done as a courtesy to patients who have obtained hearing aids at Lake ENT. If your hearing aid is not under warranty and cannot be repaired in the office there may be a charge from the manufacturer to repair your hearing aid. Depending on the manufacturer, this service will come with a warranty for a period of time.
